Elyse and I were on assignment in Maui last week, but before we headed back home, we made a trip above the clouds to the summit of Maui’s volcano Haleaka  (10,025 ft).

It has been nearly three months since his second brain surgery. As we visit the doctor every three or four weeks, and minor adjustments are remotely made to the device implanted in Nick, we are with him while his body reacts positively and negatively. This process of adjustments may take up to a year.

The Road To Hana
